We build tech products that help organizations become more sustainable and give back to their communities, while at the same time generating measurable business results. 

To help us on our mission, we are looking for a Tech Lead to join our growing team. You’ll work hand in hand with our Tech and Product team, defining and implementing the finest solutions and user experience for our customers.

At Aplanet, we build software for sustainability professionals to manage their day-to-day. How we work

  • Lean methodology: we use iterative strategies. Our team builds to add value, whether to solve problems for our clients or internal ones. 
  • Design thinking: we create simple prototypes and user tests because we need to understand needs before we commit to building something.
  • Flexible processes: forget about strict processes and structures. Our team is constantly in contact with stakeholders and we decide for ourselves how we are organized.
  • Quality: all the code we provide must be well-structured, efficient and easy to maintain, however, we’re not obsessed with metrics. The best quality standard is for your coworkers to be able to understand your code and work with it. 
  • Open Source Philosophy: we use OSS when possible, and contribute our improvements back upstream. Once our codebase is mature enough, we plan to release the pieces that could be useful for the community.

 

What we look for

We are looking for a Tech Lead to join our rapidly growing Technology team. The role has incredible growth opportunities and you’ll be working with some of the most experienced and talented professionals in software development. We are looking for someone with experience or knowledge in the following:

  • Scalability, architecture, security, performance, accessibility and maintainability of tech products.
  • Product development (hands-on experience is required). 
  • Using the frameworks mentioned above for either Backend & Infrastructure (NodeJS, etc.), Frontends/PWAs (React, Redux, etc.), and/or in standard HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Managing and growing a tech team.

And you should:
